I've just added a new entry to my blog for a very interesting reading done now using a new spread i had not used before. What i especially liked was that i found i could look at it from different angles which has changed my outlook on spreads in general.

You know I've been realizing I picked the perfect deck for my PDR. I'm still extremely interested in working with the Merryday - am learning a bunch and have no desire to switch.

This is just extra special for me because I do tend to jump around ALOT with decks. I rarely stick with one like I'm doing now. Of course it does help that I can work with whichever deck I want whenever I want. But I'm surprised at myself not wanting to switch in my PDR.

Just thought I'd make the comment! I'm pleased with myself!

Posted the rather long exercise I did on Sunday. I had great fun with it and I think it helped me to get a better understanding of the individual cards.

I'm really enjoying doing this PDR. And not having to exclude the other decks means I don't need to feel any guilt when working with the Ibis and Visconti Decks.

emmsma and moonlitkim - I've read both your posts and just wanted to say I'm impressed!

I'm personally struggling to find questions for my readings - I may try incorporating a story or two, I'd forgotten how much fun it was to do that!

Thanks! I'm horrible at thinking up questions too. Stories are a great way to get the cards to open up a bit.

Thanks for the feedback, firefrost. I haven't felt up to doing a spread, yet. This was my way of working with the cards and not pushing myself to a spread when I don't yet feel confident about what I'm doing.

I have found several spreads that i would like to try.

Tomorrow is my next day off - so its blog day, for me.
I think I will try to decide on a spread to try.

I've done two small posts using the Magical Forest.......more reflections than readings.

In today's one I mentioned the affirmations Mouse posts each week and that the list of questions at the end make great spreads. If you're stuck you might like to try them.

Thanks mooncat. I've pillaged your blog for spreads.

I'll post when I use them - though my inner voice says try them with my Ibis Tarot.

I am again reminded why a PDR works so much better for me than an IDR.

Talking reiki and guides: new reading on blog

Hi, you guys

Sorry I haven't been doing the round of blogs recently - as has been the case all year so far there's a lot going on in my life!

Well, I was attuned to Reiki Level I last weekend, and it was fabulous. After everything that has been happening to me, I know I've done the right thing in getting advice and channelling this energy according to set guidelines.
I'm now overwhelmed with endless possibilities for spirit guides, teachers and {gulp!} angels, and felt I had to make contact with my Spirit Guide again (to check s/he is from a divine source and to find out more). I did a reading to discover who SG is and how s/he can advise and help me with reiki.

I NEVER thought I would be writing a blog like this! How things change!

Hope everyone is well.
Love and light

I have decided to change my PDR deck to the Vacchetta (Tarot of the Master). I know I've already changed a couple of times but I'm hoping this time I've found a deck I can connect better with. I've posted a new entry in my blog which kind of explains why I'm changing and is basically a new deck interview.

Long time no write--
I thought I should pop in and formally announce that I've (effectively) stopped doing the Primary Deck Reflection, and am now reflecting on any and every deck that catches my fascination at a given moment--I'm actually studying tarot more intensively than I was with the pdr, and am learning more as I jump from question to question and thought to thought. The different study format is working better for me; my (self-imposed) sense of "hafta" was hampering me. Best success to everyone who is soldiering on. I will still be reading your blogs!

I'm still plugging away with my lovely Paulina. I've been using it as my primary reading deck as well as (slowly) blogging through the majors. This deck just makes my Piscean heart sing. It feels so right to be working with it.

I've been adding more literary quotes to my card descriptions; it's fun searching for just the right one and it has been helping me to make some additional connections with the cards.

I'm falling behind with my readings. Haven't handled my Magical Forest deck in awhile. Too much on my plate.

Will be working on a Lenormand reading this week, for the Lenormand reading circle, then hope to get back to the Forest this weekend.

Not kicking myself, but have yet to find the balance in my new, too busy schedule.

So glad I'm not the only one. I've started homeschooling my nephew and have had little time for more than playing mystery movie over in games. And, followers of my blog will be glad to know, I've joined an anxiety group that meets once a week and works along with a book! First class is Thursday. I will try to do a reading about the class tomorrow after teaching a four year old the letter S, which will be exhausting for both of us I think.

I will do better. I think I have to pick a day and time that is all mine. MINE!!!

I think that, for me, the problem is that reading for yourself feels very limiting after a while. Since I've changed decks I've had a real pull to read for others. Problem is, here in the real world no-one really knows that I read and if they do it's not their thing. So I've joined a couple of circles and done some reading for others which I'm loving.

So for the moment I'm having a little break - I'm doing more reading with my PDR deck, just not on my blog, lol!

I just have not been doing my PDR lately. I still want to continue with my Merryday but I might do a small side trip with the Tarot of the Spirit that I'm playing with right now. Maybe that will get me back into my studies. Because while I'm finding it hard to do a reading I am missing the study part.

I've finally had the chance to type up the reading I did last week and it's now posted to my blog. I've also commented on a few other blogs and must apologise for the delay and also to those whose I have not yet had a chance to get to. I'm still working with the Vacchetta deck but have not been doing readings quite as often as I'd hoped. Still going though
