Mythic Tarot - Ten Wands

rwcarter

Jason sits before the wreck of the Argo. Triumphantly returning to Iolkos, he is now King. He wears scarlet robes and a golden crown. The Fleece lies at his feet. He is surrounded by ten burning wands.

Overview
  • a state of oppression
  • being overburdened and weighted down by cares
  • the creative imagination can no longer function when it’s become trapped under the weight of worldly responsibilities
  • the excitement and initial enthusiasm with which one originally approached a project has vanished
  • the imagination resists being constrained within heavy and structured forms
  • boredom and depression that often accompany the completion of a creative work
  • it’s time to relinquish safety and security so that the imagination can reawaken with a new goal, idea or gamble
  • not being aware of one’s limitations
Random Thoughts
  • the harsh reality of the “real world”
  • “growing up” and becoming “responsible”
  • routine and the need to break out of it
  • biting off more than one can chew

The keyword/phrase I came up with in my workbook on 14 Mar 92 was "biting off more than you can chew".
