(page 26 for those playing at home)

Tis one is simply a three-card version of Exercise 3. Drawing three cards from the study deck of the minor arcana cards, you try to come up with similarities.

THREE OF CUPS, THREE OF WANDS, SEVEN OF SWORDS

all thee appear to have at least two vertical supporting lines, one if the form of the figures making a toast, one in the form of wands, and one with two swords stuck in the ground. They all have earth tones in the foreground. The face of the (closest) figure is obscured.

Page of Pentacles - 7 of Cups - 5 of Pentacles

I just don't see any similarities in these

Yeah, this one seems a bit of a stinker/sticky wicket.

ACE OF COINS, ACE OF WANDS, EIGHT OF WANDS

each have mountains in the distance, and feature something suspended or flying through the air.

Ten of Wands - Page of Cups - Two of Cups

Okay, the Ten of Wands and Two of Cups - both girls have flowers in their hair. The Page is surrounded by very feminine women, and she's having none of that (she's wearing a very tall top hat and masculine clothing, where as the two other girls are in dresses).
