Ludy Lescot Symbols: Treasure Chest

Iv found four or five cards that show a treasure chest: 2 of Chalices, 3 of Wands, 4 of Pentales, 7 of Chalices (?) and 10 of Pentacles.
The 7 of Chalices is a bit problematic because the box on the left could be something else, too. But there is the small jewel box which is a sort of a treasure chest as well, so I will include this card in the list.

The 4 of Pentacles man has obviously taken his coins from the chest which is on the background.
What is in the chest that the man has just opened in the 10 of Pentacles? Something that illuminates his face, like jewels or gold? There are two chests in that picture and the smaller one has got the eye inside a pyramid symbol on its side.

I was wondering if there was something missing or stolen from the 10 Pents chest, he looks so startled.
