is there a category devoted just to new cards

news about new cards in production, soon to be released. wouldn't that be a good thing to have instead of a lonely thread that gets lost and forgotten. it could be updated regularly and easy to find. for instance I found out just by chance that u.s. games systems plans to re-release the Hermetic Tarot this month, which is a good thing, but why make it hard for people to find this out.
i'm new to aeclectic tarot, so forgive me if I missed something here.

I think you make a valid point here....it might be possible to start a thread under the Tarot Decks subforum for people to post news on upcoming new releases (or, in the case of the Hermetic, reissued decks). The Tarot Deck Creation section is designed for decks that are still works-in-progress, usually started by artists and deck creators interested in feedback from other members.

Also wanted to mention, since you are a newbie, you might want to try the Search feature (click "Search" button above) to find one of those "forgotten" threads. I did find a couple of recent threads on the Hermetic reprint, which you might enjoy:
