Is this an original Key to the Tarot

gregory

It says Seventh Thousand - so not a first edition, but can't be MUCH newer than that. It's the little bitty one.

Is it a genuine article though? That's mainly what I was wondering but may not have articulated it very well in my question. I've never seen one without its cover so I wasn't sure if that's what they look like inside.

Debra

Looks like a paperback--not a hardback with the cover fallen off.
Eta: seller says the covering for the spine has come off.

By "original" do you mean 1909/10? That font doesn't look it. I have a copy of a Pam B with the original book and the font is not that style. I think that font looks maybe 20s or 30s. I'm no expert but...

Yes Debra, I see what you're saying, I missed that. It's the spine covering not a cover per se, as in a hardcover. Was it ever issued as a paperback? It says "Rider & Co." I thought it might have been cribbed at some point.

I think Rodney has one. I can't believe a fake would have had that Seventh Thousand thing on it....
