Liber T: XXI The Universe

The Universe card requires that one needs to meditate upon it and reflects.

A discussant in AT (I forgot who) shares this -- The Universe -- finding one’s place in life.

Others discuss the symbols of the card pertaining to the union or the oneness of the male and female -- from the physical sexual plane and hopefully to the more spiritual energy level. In the midst of it all is the Tree of Life which only certain individuals who are enlightened can “see” -- perhaps the tree of life reveals itself to those who have managed to attain a high degree of oneness which the Creator.

In the Kabbalah, there is the Creator and the Creation -- the Creator is of the Upper World while the Creation is of the lower world -- eventually, we are called upon, or perhaps, we can make a choice to move ourselves from the lower world (from being a creation) to one who Creates -- and in this process, we need to remember that we Create so that we can create delight and happiness in others. For ourselves, if we are creators -- then we can assume that we are delight and happiness manifested.

The Universe is also the 22nd card -- if the Fool is 0 (the beginning), the Universe is completion -- ending ... but it is also worthy to note that the Universe keeps expanding -- from our limited perspective of the sciences -- we are aware that we do not know where the Universe actually ends - where it begins territory-wise and where it ends...

So we break it up and chunk it to manageable understandable proportions and attach labels of galaxies, components such as constellations, planets, solar systems, and so on ...

and we also put them in a proper sequence or order so that it would be easier for us to comprehend.

The handbook also gives this advice -- Treat events like Servants of Your True Will elected to present the Universe to you in the form of your Plan ...

If I were to put a literal meaning to this -- we should be open to the events that happen in our lives and rather than reject them -- because we cannot since we did not necessarily CREATE them, rather, they were presented to us as part of a bigger framework -- we should incorporate it as part of whatever plans and choices we choose to make -- at least, the events we can create within us and for us.

At this level -- we are already trying to be both Creator and Creation combined, however, we are not the full Creator yet because we have not acquired to enlightened power to create or expand the infinity and totality of the entire Universe -- we only can do so much with what we have, what we have made of ourselves, what we own.

We also need to consider the presence of the Tree of Life which may not seem visible, as well as the life of people in the world - balancing between making choices that involve right and wrong --

if the Universe card appears -- we need to look at what we could attach to these symbols we see in the card - the snake, and others -- the meaning of nothing or the ending in order to start a beginning and how we can expand -- the meaning of completion and preparation -- we assume that because the Universe keeps expanding, there is no total absolute completion -- it can be cyclical, it can be in phases or compartments --

What would be the compartments in our life -- and how do we chunk our life, our universe so that we can make it more workable for us? What would be the male and female in our lives and how do we unite or integrate them -- we may think we are integrated but we may not be doing the integration currently -- and what will tell us if we are?

This is where we examine consequences - positive and negative -- and what works for us is what we may consider as the more appropriate criteria for evaluation if we look at our context.

What are our serpents and how have we responded -- do we own what we have done and the results of what we have done, or are we using these as an excuse -- justifying our actions so that the least that we could do is pretend we feel good -- since we do not want to judge ourselves harshly, the next best step we would typically take is just to wear the mask that we own it because we intellectually know why we did it -- but we repeat the same pattern in our lives and therefore reap the same consequences.

The Universe may be the end card numerology-wise, but it may also signify many things and many new beginnings out of nothingness.
