Ten of Cups - Satiety

Nholdamek

How do you see the Ten of Cups?

In other decks it seems to generally be positive, but I see it negatively in the Thoth. Like one has been enjoying something a little too much and now it's time for an awakening. But I never know how to interpret it in readings.

Too much of a good thing.

The magic has gone.

Can be looking back at the end of something, assessing it, seeing it as it really was.

Always implies an ending, nd often a new, different, beginning.

There is actually another short thread on this card - you'll have to use the search feature to find it because I'm not too sure how to link it....

But I see Satiety as a "stagnant dream".... you have everything you think you want and desire, but are still left with a feeling of incompleteness because it's not really what you want. Cups don't really equate to happiness, usually - they tend to be a little more shallow and I think the disks are intended to imply earthly and spiritual contentment.
