gong timers

In another thread, different timers were discussed and nasty beep sounds bemoaned, and here is a link to little gong pyramid clock things (you'll see) that have sounds of various Eastern meditative items. I thought some folks might enjoy knowing about them--they were advertised in a reiki magazine. They seem to cater to US and Europe, among other places and currencies--and look quite attractive if you like pyramids made of wood that tell you things about your meditation session length.

Oh, I had one of those, it was called the "Zen Alarm Clock" and I loved it, just a progressively louder lovely chiming sound to wake me up in the morning. Very good suggestion for a session timer!

Those are beautiful. Wish I could afford one. Not that I have a place to put one.

For anyone in the same boat as me, you can get mediation timer apps, some for free, for tablets and smartphone.

I use a timer for the deaf that can vibrate or flash lights depending on what you want it to do. Mine is similar to this:

Nothing fancy, but it does the job and is fairly inexpensive.
