Suits as different "stations" and "positions" of community life in older times?

That would make alot of sense regarding the simplicity of the times.
A cup was always carried on the belt as was the sword for protection & of course a staff for times of support and a purse of coins to purchase goods with.
Life was so simple back then less complicated in respect to our time.
But we still need the same things to sustain us. Just more its seems & quicker.
I was born in the wrong time or enjoyed past life in medieval times.

I think this area is one of the hard ones to learn when you first start out. Interpreting the old "stations" into modern the day.
