He he I can think of lots of reasons, but my choice is that The Knight of Wands indicates change-ability and he has a dis- ability!!

lol -- yes he does seem to be a bit short on that side -- but if i recall correctly from my u.s. civil war readings, there was a general whose leg was shot off during a batlle -- he kept on fighting -- that my friends is a tought soldier ... and knight :)
