Steampunk tarot (Moore) - King of Cups

I have no idea why, but when I first saw this card I could not help but think he reminded me of Abraham Lincoln. He had the beard (albeit not quite as long) and the top hat.

His hat is adorned with goggles of sorts. In one hand he is holding a glass of wine, the other hand is casually wielding a lit cigar. Behind him we see a two seater sofa, two satin looking cushions offering the padding.

He likes the finer things of life. You get the feeling he is a socialiser, and will be in his element in similar company, whereby a glass or two and a box of cigars are shared. I would guess from this, he is quite approachable and sociable. Good qualities to have, and even more so if they are accompanyed by other traits would hope our ruling King would have.

I had a grandad who had a beard like this, and he was a real lovable rogue. Children adored him, so when I see this card I will be reminded of the charisma of grandparent.
