Perfect beginner deck with non scary cards esp. Snake

1Eleven

Thanks for warning me off the newer decks, Tag. That is exactly why I mentioned traditionally accurate with maybe playing card inserts which aren't too overtly done (the Enchanted Lenormand would be a perfect example) but with no red-eyed or long fork tongued snakes which look like they could come alive. It is imperative that it be sitter-friendly too.

What kind of people are you reading for?

Negative is what gets most peoples attention, unfortunately. There's a reason the news shows are so popular.

Btw, I don't see the Snake as a very negative card.

Yes they do. But you might like to check your images against their templates - the dimensions can throw you a bit - my own deck has huge white borders for that very reason; I found out their card sizes rather late in the day !

thanks for warning!:)) I worked over their template and over that green part as well so when cut out I think it will be borderless?!:)) I'll be sure to double check it all before printing and 1.order few decks for myself!^^ if that goes well then I'll make it available for sale!^^ ;))

How about Lo Scarabeo Lenormand Oracle Cards? Elegant traditional images, not overloaded with details, with the Snake innocently climbing a tree, and a rather laconic, non-scary Coffin (and a few other cards).

Girl Archer,

Depending on what you mean by a "pretty" deck, you might like the Zingdoodle Lenormand (http://rootweaver.com/product/zingdoodle-lenormand-poker-size/). Aesthetically, it's my favorite deck, and I find it very easy to read with.

If you're looking for something more traditional, you can't go wrong with a deck from Tag-Jorrit's site (http://gameofhopelenormand.bigcartel.com/). I have the Game of Hope deck from there -- it's beautiful!

You might find something you like on this site, which also features more traditional decks: http://desertrosetarot.bigcartel.com/category/lenormand. The Old School Lenormand is on my wish list.

And Paris de Bono offers so many decks, it's almost impossible to not find one you like: http://www.thefortuneteller.com.au/products.html

There are TONS of decks out there if you look. Just start googling. ;-)

Good luck!

What about the Fairy Tale Fortune Cards? They seem pretty cute and non-threatening and each card is linked to a fairy tale.

The Fairy Tale Fortune Cards are definitely not scary! Here's a shot of the Snake and Coffin cards.

(If anyone is interested in this deck, I currently have it listed for sale: http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=252296

FS/FT: Oracles, Lenormands, and a couple of books)
