...for a description and images. Pre-orders are being taken already too.

This deck has been sensitively restored by Tag Jorrit, who has of course already given us so many wonderful Lenormand decks, and more recently the Papus/Goulinat and Vandenborre reproductions. It will be printed on the same quality card stock as the Papus deck, and therefore will shuffle and handle just as beautifully :)

She has even recreated the original box to help complete the aura of genuine antique mystique that comes with this bygone Tarot.

I am very proud to say this fine reproduction has been made from one of the gems in my own Treasure Box.

Yours sincerely,
Sumada

Thank you so much for doing this!

Very nice deck, but at that price it looks like a collectors deck. I think I'll settle for one of Lauren's gorgeous Lenormand restorations and still be able to buy another deck on my wish list.

Far out! I have my own copy of this Lismon Etteilla repro now, and I'm really pleased with the way it's turned out.

Tag has done a really excellent job cleaning up all the worst bits of my old deck, while still retaining its antique appearance; including the original back design and recreating my dilapidated box! The cards not only look good, but they handle really well too, and anyone who got one of Tag's Papus - Goulinat decks will know the quality of the sturdy, satin smooth and easily shuffle-able card stock.

As a point of interest, the deck comes with two copies of trump 14, because Temperance in my antique deck has an amusing typo in the title - Temperature! See here -

This was very possible back in the days of hand set letterpress printing, where every letter, line (or rule as they were called), and image block was each a separate component, all of which were assembled by hand into a frame called a chase.
One can but assume there was a whole print run with this error. A previous or subsequent print run was obviously made at some point though, because I have seen another antique example with Temperance spelt correctly, and yet with differences in other cards!

Now to get yourself one of these beautifully crafted reproductions, and a piece of tarot's history just go to -

If you would like to see what these unique cards look like, here is a slide show of all the majors, the aces and a couple others. Unlike the pointy ones in the slide show, the finished cards have rounded corners. Enjoy!
