People will define Angels in many ways - people clearly see angelic - light beings, and others swear that these Angels are just reflections of our own higher self - the energy of Angels is however quite clear - and as you saw your first encounter with angels was an amazing electric blue (TANZANITE)

Very Interesting... piqued my curiosity

A friend pointed me to this thread and I was immediately curious so I tried mine as well. I am totally clueless on astrology as yet (soooo many things I want to learn and not enough hours in the day!) so I don't have any idea what a lot of this means, but I'm printing it out so that I can do some research. I do have some good friends who are very knowledgeable about astrology and crystals and all things metaphysical so I will be asking them for some guidance as well. Definitely something new and interesting to learn about myself and for me that is the greatest adventure in life... learning about myself!

I am fascinated by Sabian symbols--there's something about the vivid imagery that triggers my imagination! I just got the book "The Zodiac by Degrees" by Martin Goldsmith that delves into a unique take on Sabian symbols. I thought it was really interesting.

The Sabian symbol for Cancer 20 (my Sun) is VENETIAN GONDOLIERS IN A SERENADE. Goldsmith conducted his own research and compiled imagery from other degree systems to come up with a modified symbol, "The main gate of a castle, guarded by a bloodhound and a man in armor. Seeking to gain admittance, an outsider plies the guard with flattery, whereupon the dog begins to growl." He elucidates some of the key ideas behind the symbol--e.g., using good manners and disarming charm vs. dropping all pretense, having a good nose for people's hidden intentions. He also gives examples of people, such as Anthony Blunt (North Node. British art historian, spy for Russia) and Van Cliburn (Sun. Heads an important annual competition).

Both symbols resonate with me but I still have trouble interpreting Sabian symbols in relation to planets and houses. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon!
