Armour on 3 Wands man's extended arm?

Cara Jackson

Is it me or does the tell-tale bluish hue of cold metal (used by PCS) denote that armour/protection/strength is showing on this merchants extended arm? Or is it just blue bunched up material around his elbow - cant see too clearly as wand in the way - any thoughts ye illustrious ones?

Humbly, bows, scrapes hat on floor, yours, Cara x

O humble querent, I know not. Armour was pretty much exclusive to the knighthood, not the merchant class. The stuff was heavy; they didn't have aluminum back then, and aluminum wouldn't have protected very well anyhow. :)

What L Richard - no bakelite gloves? How DID they survive? tee-hee!

It does bear a striking resemblance to the armor on the arms of some of the Knights. The critical factor is the elbow which isn't completely visible, but there seems to be a hint of an elbow piece just to the left of the wand.

So what does all this mean?

If he wears armor under his cloak, the folks in the boats are leaving him alone on the hill but they do so at his command.

Or Smith was tuned into the Steampunk genre and he sports a wicked prosthesis.
