I don't know, however, if he did a book for the Alchemical the first time, or if he's doing one now.
He did one the first time.

Yay! :D Three hundred bucks for the art version is a LITTLE much...

The two Robert Place decks (Buddha Tarot and Tarot of the Saints) I have have very nice companion books. It seems to be the way he does things. It's also a strength of those decks for sure.
I actually haven't even bought the Buddha companion book yet as there's so much information in the LWB.

Actually, I think it's $340 plus (I assume) shipping.

What's interesting is that the co-author information appears to have gone away. Did he buy her out? What's the deal with that, I wonder.

The site he has it listed for presale says $30.00

And it is listed on his site and on the sales site as
"The Alchemical Tarot Renewed" with a new box design.
Just guessing but I expect the original and the Renewed will be easily told apart.
I think it is great that more folks will be able to enjoy his alchemy deck idea whatever it is going to be.

He talks at length about Rosemary here

Not correcting anyone, I just like to click around sites following crumbs :)

Wow! This is a really great news! First, the Buckland-Romani Tarot get reprinted, now the Alchemical. I did not even put the Alchemical on my wishlist but now I will. One more deck to get. :) With the Alchemical and its antithesis the Vampire Tarot, this will be a great 2008 year.

I think that's just there to show that you can't buy it yet- it's not even available until February!

AJ, not disagreeing with you that the material says that at that link (it's taken from the book), but the box for Alchemical Tarot renewed doesn't list Rosemary as a co-author, and the original box did. I was just wondering what's up with that. Does that mean the deck is somewhat different?

From the link that AJ gave, I get the impression that Rosemary wrote the book. So I guess this time it'll be a deck without book and therefore he can publish it in his own name without having to add hers?
