"Medieval Chihuahua Tarot" ...completed...

I agree with MoonGypsy on the third picture for the Emperor. The other 2 do look like the heirophat.

Lyn, thanks for the more detailed explanation on the Chi Sock Jock - i think I get it now!

Hey Lyn,
Just saw my little boy Harley on Facebook along with all the other good looking Chi's. Boy are they going to be famous. They might need their own FB page by the time you get this finished. I love every single one of these pix's.
Keep up the great work.
Love them!!!!!
Kat
 Oh, Harely really does look cute on facebook... This deck getting famous would be
a good thing because then it will bring in more proceeds to help rescue little Chis...
I feel really good about doing that.

I was happy to see that the cards look so much better when they are next to each other.
The resolution is really good on this deck because I started with such a large image and
when you shrink them down to deck size, they are very clear and sharp. This deck will be
nice in the Jumbo sized cards! :) I also need to upload the Bear deck images there as well.

 Kat, thanks for your encouragement on this deck! That really helps me keep going!:)

i don't do facebook, either, sorry Lynnie!
 Sis, don't worry, the only difference between FB and AT image posting is that I am
able to see the cards all at once next to each other, and that gives me a better overall idea
of where to go next with the cards.
But you are getting the inside scoop here...on each card as I go...I am not doing that on facebook...
...will only be adding the images to my album there so I can see them, unless someone on FB asks me something about them.
I just love it when you post here, sis! AT is our 'main home!' :)

i like the 3rd Emperor much, much better! The first 2 remind me more of a Hierophant kind of energy. The 3rd one looks very self assured and regal.
 I will finish working on the 3rd Emperor then since most everyone likes him the best so far...
Thanks, sis, for letting me know...that helps so much!:)

I agree with MoonGypsy on the third picture for the Emperor. The other 2 do look like the heirophat.
 The 3rd Emperor it is then. The truth is, he is my favorite as well!:)
Thanks for your vote!

Lyn, thanks for the more detailed explanation on the Chi Sock Jock - i think I get it now!
...edited...

 @ everyone:
...didn't get much done today except shop and pay bills...still have a few other things to do
before starting on next card...be back later...

...thanks  everyone for your help with card decisions! :)

 HUGS

Wheel of Fortune

:) I have been playing around with the Wheel of Fortune today...and am wondering
if any of you can comment on 'which' photo you like best? (or if you like it for this deck at all?)

Alta

From the point of view of colour and tone, I like the first version the best.

It doesn't seem to really capture The Wheel for me, which (in my view) should show that one can be both cast down and raised up by Fate. The Zodiacal Wheel is more about progression, to me. However, just my thought.

 Okay, Alta, I have a more traditional wheel... that I have half finished, that I will now finish...BUT...

I have seen so many other tarot decks with my same imagination regarding this card:
(Note: My being an astrologer all of my life, I 'do' see the Wheel of Fortune tarot card in one's birth chart.)
I see the ups, downs, lows, highs, successes, failures, surprises, fate, destiny, and change.)

I see any 'wheel' as a progression...turning round and round...the same as our birth chart's wheel does,
with our planets going round and round in the zodiac, while aspecting each other and influencing our life...with luck or otherwise.
Each of our own personal 'Wheels of Fortune' were set in motion at our birth...

Please note the following Wheel of Fortune cards, with an astrology zodiac wheel:

...and there are more...
...but you probably get the idea how I connected the zodiac to the wheel of fortune card
and how it got into my head :p

Alta, for the sake of those that are into tarot but not that deep into astrology, I have now
decided to add 'two' different Wheel of Fortune cards to this deck: this one, plus I have
the other, more traditional Wheel of Fortune card half way done that I mentioned and will post it when finished.
That way you could use the one you like best.

 Thank you, Alta, for making me realize that not everyone would understand the deeper
workings or meanings of a birth chart in motion...(I should have realized that :p )

i agree with Alta...
 Sis, I get your feelings on this card, as well as Alta's...and now there will be 'two' Wheel of Fortune cards in this deck... LOL
...when I get through, I should have a really 'thick' deck with the extra cards...

I will post my second Wheel of Fortune card (more traditional) when I finish it...probably
and hopefully by tomorrow...

 Thank you my dear sis, and I think you will like the next Wheel of Fortune card...

 @Alta and MoonGypsy

...I do appreciate both of your comments, because it makes me aware of what tarot readers
would prefer in a deck!

I hope you both don't mind that I will be offering '2' versions of some cards in this deck...
That way a person can use the one they like best.
Plus I might as well include them, since I already made them :p ...right?

 Love you both!
Lyn

MoonGypsy

Sounds really good, dear sis! i am really looking forward to this deck!

You are so considerate in trying to make sure we all are able to "grok" this wonderful deck! You are doing a superb job!

 Thank you my sis :*...(the sweetest in all of the land!)

@everyone:
Now I am going to have an 'additional' Knight of Swords card because I had emailed a request
to use a young photographer's photo of a horse, and I just received their permission...
and here is their reply email...I think it is very sweet, so I want to share this one with everyone:
...start email...

Dear Lyn,

I don't usually give permission for the use of my photos for this sort of purposes, but I think
I am about to make an exception for you!*

Thank you, firstly, for the compliments, I appreciate that! Secondly, thank you for this very
polite note to ask my permission, you are an example for a lot of people who just copy my
photos without having asked anything. Thirdly, I love your idea to help and save Chihuahuas,
I don't know what's happening to them (?) but it seems like a good charity purpose -
if that's the right word for it.

Could you please explain to me what exactly is a tarot deck? Unfortunately I don't
recognize the word (due to the language barrier I think, I am a sixteen-year-old girl from
Holland, guess that might explain it*).*

But, you have my permission! I do definitely want to see the result! I am very curious what
you'll make of it! Is the size of the photo as it is in my gallery qualitively good enough to
work with, or do you maybe need a higher resolution version?*

Sincerely,
Carlijn Clemens

...end of email...

However...
I had already created the Knight of Swords...so I just now did a second one using Carlijn's photo.
She is such an amazing photographer and only 16 years old!
Here is her site if you want to see awesome work: http://www.carlijnclemens.nl/
(oh, she is on deviantart.com also!)

Gosh, if this keeps up I will have a 'double' decker...LOL

So here was my first idea for the Knight of Swords...and the other one...

Photo #1: used horse photo with permission
Photo #2: previously finished Knight of Swords
