Lenormand Wannabes

Gypsy Witch Celebrated Fortune Telling Cards by Madame Le Normand (1905) ~ this deck has 52 cards, but the "cards that count" for Lenormand are there...but....for example "The Ring" which should be Ace of Clubs / #25 is Queen of Hearts / #23 - but I give it credit for trying.

Le Petit Cartomancien (Grimaud, 1968) ~ Looks like a cross between Le Petit Etteilla and a Lenormand. Unholy, I tell you! But listed by Lenormand Museum as a Lenormand. I am not convinced however.

Richard

These were simply acquired in my quest for a favorite user among decks having more-or-less traditional Lenormand imagery but no verses. The Mystical was purchased (mainly for the artwork) before I formulated my criteria.

Lenormand Blaue Eule
Lenormand Oracle Cards
Lenormand Orakelspielkarten
French Cartomancy
Mystical Lenormand

Rhinemaiden

In hand:

Blue Owl with English verses
Pixie Lenormand (not numbered)
Melissa's Postcard Lenormand, 1st edition but, alas, NOT in a tin

Awaiting:

Melissa's Lenormand - second edition

*wags finger*

No, No this doesn't count. We want only pure Lenormands (Melissa's extra cards permitted). Otherwise I'd have included my LoS Fatima Oracle. ;)

Most of my tarot and Lenormand decks are in another state. Where I'm staying now, I have these:

Piatnik
Pixie's Astounding
ARLO
Melissa 1st edition
Mystical
Gypsy Lenormand

Going on memory, the out-of-state decks include:
Titiana's
Blue Owl
French Cartomancy
Chris Butler's Technoracle

Recently ordered and on their way to me:
Postmark 2nd edition
Magisches Lenormand

I'm really looking forward to the latter two, although I'm already working with the Postmark on Orphalese. Does no one like the Magisches except me? :joke:

Like the "White Owl" Lenormand it belongs to what I call the "scribble school" of Lenormands. Felt tipped pens, awkward perspectives, daubed faces. Also the Magisches has these fussy fake wood curls at the top of the card that dominate a bit too much. But I'm glad I have it. Completism and all that... ;)
