The Ace of Swords

Zephyros

Does anybody know what's written on the blade? It looks like Greek.

Hi Closrapexa

I know that it is the Greek word meaning ''Clarity'' but I don't know how it is spelled.............

This is the word "Thelema" (which means Will), written in Greek. Thelema is also written on Cupid's quiver on the Lovers card.

Thelema / Will is the keyword of Crowley's magickal system, as expressed in The Book of the Law, a chanelled mystical text.

Thanks, Strange2, for the info on the inscription on the sword.

When looking at the sword hilt, it looks kind of like a snake wound around it - is this just me or is that what it is supposed to be. This sort of does make sense in a way I guess with a snake representing transformation - perhaps transformation by will / thought?

I am impatiently awaiting my Thoth book now as would really like to be able to look these things up :( for more understanding with this deck - only 10 days to go now I hope!
