3 Magicians in Crowley's deck?

Scarlet27

Thank you all for the answers and the pics =)
Evidently, the person who wrote what I read -I wish I could remember where I read it- had absolutely no idea about the deck, or wanted to make up a false story to make it more interesting xD

I liked the 2nd card too, the 1st one looks funny.
Thank you Silverlotus for the pics and similia for the information, thanks everyone else for writing.

I think the proper magus looks smug.

Months ago I read that, since Crowley believed different types of Magic (such as white, black and red), he had designed 3 different Magicians to represent these 3 types of magic.
According to Gerald Suster in his book The Legacy of the Beast, Crowley did distinguish between three schools of Magick which he called Black, White and Yellow (NB nothing to do with familiar distinctions between Black and White Magic). However there's no suggestion that the three Magus cards have anything to do with this.

The relevant essay is apparently in Magick without Tears, under what Suster and Israel Regardie take to be a pseudonym "Gerard Aumont".
