The Tarot of Vampyres - Eight of Skulls

WolfyJames

Here we see a male vampire magician who is learning new spells from his witchcraft book. He is holding a skull in his right hand, maybe the skull is necessary for the spell he is working on. Maybe he is foolishingly closing his eyes and not paying attention to the effect of the spell in his left hand, maybe he is trying to learn the spell by heart while he is performing it so he is fully concentrating on it. Behind him there is a wall with ivy and a wolf mask, ivyes are very hardy. Next to his spell book there is a cup of blood and a hourglass that is half-empty which means he may have been working on the same spell all this time.

The sun symbol is the pendant of his necklace and the virgo symbol is on the skull he's holding. I mention this because Eight of Coins is sun in virgo.

I want to point that since the deck is heavily inspired by the Thoth, the keyword for this card is PRUDENCE.
