I believe my name shows as the same on both?

Anyway, are we doing readings for each other too? I'd be game for that.

I'm on blogger as Hils - and I do have Hils in my signature

I put the pic of me up because it was more personal than AT.

Don't know if I kept the avatar - I'll go look.

ETA - I've altered my profile. I'm now firefrost with this avatar.

My avatar is the same here and there. I forgot that non-Subscribers can't upload their own avatars and that it is not allowable to lift one of AT's for your blog. Sowwy for suggesting it.

Anyway, I think there are many ways that we can let others know who you are here and there...

I've been looking at other free blogger templates.

I've copied the info it says to use - now do I just right click on my blog, go to my source, delete all that and paste the new info in?

I searched online for free avatars and I have my blog avatar to one that is similar my user name is the same on both so I hope that this helps identify me more clearly.

I had origianlly set up two blogs, one is called "Myrrha's Readings". I've switched to that one because, with all these blogs to follow, I want to make it as easy as possible for people to remember which one is whose.

Sorry if this is a Pain for the people who have already added my blog to their list of who they are following and I will loose a few valued comments but better to make this switch now at the very beginning.

I will add peoples blogs to my follow list on Sunday or Monday as I'm going to be off line for a while.

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I've changed my PDR deck. It's all posted on my blog, but I wanted to throw it out here so KK can change me over to the Merryday.

Oh No! Not at all!! I think it's great that we'll both be using it. We can feed off each other and what we each see in the cards.

I'll be watching your blog with great interest.

It's the Elemental for me

I'm discovering that there's a big difference between recording a reading in my tarot journal, and writing up something worthy of posting on a blog. Those of you who frequently post your readings for others to see, whether here at AT or on your blog, you really have my respect.

I realize now that undertaking this PDR project is not a frivolous commitment. After analyzing and writing up today's 4-card spread, I'm wondering if I'll need to limit myself to 1-card draws in the future. HOWEVER, I can already see that the reward is commensurate with the effort. It's going to be an interesting year.

And KK, I have made my choice: I'm going to use the Elemental.

There are no pictures in my blog yet, besides my avatar. I really could have used some examples in my last two entries, but I respect Ciro too much to use his artwork wiley-niley. (Though I suppose I could get off my butt and ask permisson.)

I've never dealt with Ciro but from what I gather from everyone who has, he's really very nice and gives permission for these things. Ask him!

I contacted baba-prague for my postings. She's lovely as well!

I need to scan the individual cards and then get an okay from Ciro, but once this happens the images will join the words.

So in regard to getting permission for images, I'm not really sure where to start. I tried to find a way to contact Caitlin Matthews re the Celtic Wisdom deck, but there is no contact info on her web-site. And if you are using a US Games deck is it them you approach??? Is there a certain percentage of the deck (ie. number of cards) you can show before it becomes a breach of copyrite? I just want to make sure I'm not doing the wrong thing by anyone. Any advice would be appreciated.

I here you about posting a deck. I think i would have to go through the publisher which I could do... maybe I should do. If anything it promotes their deck to people who have not paid much attention to it...

KK, I'm going to be using the Tarot of the Secret Forest for my study if you are still keeping track in the first post of this thread.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My journal is called Under the Leaves, the other one got deleted when I was fooling around with them.
Writing up a reading for the blog is much more time consuming than writing for my tarot journal. I've never really enjoyed writing. At least not since the fourth grade. Still, somehow it feels like a good step to take. I'm really enjoying other people's blogs entries they have a different feel to them than posts here at AT.
I'm really starting to struggle with not being able to find enough time to read everyone else's blogs right now. I feel like I shouldn't even post my own readings if I can't find the time to read others. I'm fairly sure my time will free up in about a month to six weeks, but right now I'm questioning whether it's even fair for me to be involved with the group. Sorry everyone, I'm not feeling much like a team player at the moment.
Don't worry, sapienza, I'm sure we all feel this way to some extent or another. During the year we'll all go through spells where we barely have enough time to keep up our own blogs, much less visit anyone else's. And with more people joining this group all the time (hurray!), it would just be too daunting to think you HAD to follow every development.
I see this proliferation of blogs as a lovely smorgasbord. Visit, sample, comment when moved to do so. Pass when you're full. Contribute when you can. And keep posting on your own blog! You are part of the team, whether you feel like a good team player at the moment or not.
Sapienza,
I want to say that I feel that the blogs should not be considered required reading. This is a Personal Deck Reflection. I think that the blogs are only an expression of what others and myself are learning.
With such a growing group of blogs I don't read them all but I want to keep my commitment to myself to blog every week.
I hope that no one stops their own study out of a misunderstanding that they are obligated to read my blog. My hope is just to encourage others to continue on and achieve their own sense of victory.
I say read the blogs if they help. If not the focus more time on you personal deck.
Just my opinion. Everyone should feel free to ignore my blog if they want.
Onyx.
I'm trying to do a reading on my blog and it doesn't show any place to click to add pictures. I'm sure it did before, but now it doesn't. I'm not sure what I've changed or what happened????? Help please?
The last couple I've just gone straight from Picassa and my picture to the blog. Not from my blog to add a picture. So maybe I'm just not remembering right??????
On mine it isn't really a labled button. There is a menu bar up at the top with little pictures and one of them is a picture of a picture. You click on that and it allows you to browse for the picture. I think the blog I'm using is called blogger.
sapienza, this is all about a personal approach to tarot study. Reading other's blogs is not required reading lol!
faunabay, I know my browser mysteriously loses buttons all the time. When this happens, try saving your work, restarting you computer, and reloading the browser. This should work.
Like Myrrha says, it's a "picture of a picture" in the menu bar. You have access to the menu bar when you are creating a new post, and when you are editing an old post. If you pause the cursor over any button in the menu bar, text should "pop up" telling what that button is for. Does any of this help...?
Definitely have wanted to do that before!
I used to work for a big, hulking kind of a guy - very nice, but huge. When the computer wouldn't work he'd rear back his hand and arm like he was going to punch it. I used to tell him "I don't think the computer is intimidated at all!" LOL
Don't worry about it at all! Just do what feels right to you. The last thing any of us need is to feel another obligation. I shall try to stop by all the blogs and the threads here, but I cannot promise anything, either. You're wonderful, and whatever you have time for will be wonderful, as well!
I agree with that there are so many blogs to read it can get a little daunting at times. But i think as long as our intentions are in the right place, things will fall into place eventually!
I posted a new reading. While most of the reading made perfect sense to me the outcome kind of puzzled me. So I invite comments to maybe help me make sense of this please.
I do follow quite a few. I may not post on all of them every time, though. I tend to follow the ones where I am interested in the deck, or the persons thoughts or writing style "click" with me I guess. I have tried to post on everyone's however.
My offer for Animal Totem readings on my blog is still open... if you follow it and want one, just find the "offer for followers" post and comment.
Me too. That's why I've made such a pest of myself on your blog, souljourney.
I'm still new enough to the project that I haven't had a chance to visit everyone yet, but I'm working on it. It's fun, & I'm learning a lot.
