8 of Cups Eclipse?

Curious as to how others view the two moons in the 8 of cups in the RWD?

After studying it for a while I'm coming to the conclusion the two moons look to me like the sun and the moon either before or after and 'eclipse' that would reflect the darkness of emotions of this card of which the person moves away from under the dim light of the moon?

How do you see this symbology in the 8 of cups?

As a "waning Moon," which carries the same idea of "diminishment of light."

It always reminds me of the astronomical phenomenon of the "old moon in the arms of the new"
