If the stele of Ankh-af-na-khonsu (666) reveals a ‘truth that has crossed over’... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ankh-ef-en-Khonsu_i#Meaning_of_the_name
“Ankh-ef-en-Khonsu, goes forth from your multitudes, deliverer of those who are within the sun-light, open for him the Netherworld, indeed, the Osiris, Ankh-ef-en-Khonsu who goes forth in day in order to do everything all that pleased him upon earth among the living-ones."

...then perhaps the ‘Opening of the Door-leaves of Heaven in the Most Select of Places’ is akin to an apocalypse (‘unveiling’), of sorts, inasmuch as illumination concerns shedding the inherent adversity of the dualistic paradigms upon which our world-views tend to be based.

The word ‘Abomination’ in Daniel is translated from ‘sheqets’ (that which is forbidden), while ‘Desolation’, within Christian tradition, has been specifically associated with a ‘spiritual dryness’ stemming from the testing of faith, or feelings of alienation from the Divine, induced by spiritual crises during moments of deep, contemplative ‘prayer’.

Of course, the ‘Abomination of Desolation’ can be interpreted a Number of different ways...

718 = 121-agonal Number: 1, 360, 718

...and Khonsu, along with Thoth, marked the passage of Time.

Intersting factoid: 718 is the sum of all Hebrew letters that are not part of the Lightning Flash - 777.

In previous verses we have encountered the "peoples". These can be interpreted as the diverse and divided aspects of self. These peoples may be the ones that symbolically call the stele the Abomination of Desolation. But why?

Desolate can mean to deprive of inhabitants; to depopulate. Also desolate places can be solitary and lonely, that's why they are traditionally sought out by those who wish to find themselves. This could be why the "peoples" view this as an abomination.

Abomination of De-sol-ation. Hmm...

By ternary math, 718 = 222121 = hexagram 36 of the I Ching, "Darkening of the Light". See the story recounted in the Confessions and MWT about Jane Cheron and her embroidered Stele, and how this was foreseen by an I Ching divination that AC performed, involving hexagram 36.
