Reading variences
Just wanted some input from the senior Lenormand readers on an issue im having. Recently my last few GT and 5 card layouts have been spot on accurate and the detail has been amazing. So much so that some of my clients prefer it to the tarot. But then the other day I'm reading for a client and the relationship dynamic i pick up for her is dead on accurate as well but everything else is wrong. I redrew the GT and the relationship cards were almost all the same but everything else was wrong again. What gives ? I refused to charge her and apologized. This really is the only card readin ive done in all my years that has been totally out in left field. Any ideas as to what the deal is ? I was really embarrased and offered to do a free tarot reading for her to make up for it. __________________ Im not a Life Coach, Fortune Creator, Psychiatrist, or Personal Empowerment Advisor. First off, your ethics are exceptional. Kudos to you for admitting that the reading wasn't to your client's satisfaction and offering your client a free reading. Tarot has a worldliness to it. It's archetypes are so well-developed and detailed that it addresses 78 x 78 issues, situations, people, etc. You can tell whole stories by looking at a few cards. In my Lenormand readings, I've found I can only speak in sentences. Yes, they can be compound sentences - taking from the Germanic language way of putting two words together to further define an idea, like snowball or kindergarten - but they only address one thought at a time. Whether you're reading diagonally in the GT, or using 3 cards, the Lenormand tends to be super focused on one targeted idea. There's not much wiggle room with Lenormand. That said, either your client was blocking, or you or your deck were having an off day, or . . . You were spot on, and your client will come to realize that in the coming weeks. |

Thanks Jennie. I remember reading a GT for a woman and telling her about a trip she'd be taking very soon (one week later) and I noticed that the diagonal of the man in her reading crossed over the ship along with the whip. I asked her if they were arguing about her going on this trip and she said 'No.' I thought it strange but let it go. A few minutes later we're discussing their relationship and she says,' He and I argue a lot about not taking any trips together though." I wanted to beat my head against the wall, but this happens sometimes with clients. All I can do is continue to practice and get more fluent in translating combos. I'm sure in 20 years I'll be just as good at Lenormand as I am at tarot. I forget just how rough those first few years of tarot really were. Thanks for the insight. __________________ Im not a Life Coach, Fortune Creator, Psychiatrist, or Personal Empowerment Advisor. I read cards. Im a Fortune Teller. |
