What's a good deck for giving a healing feel?

SuziDreams

I'm on the lookout for a deck which has a healing feel to it, nurturing, protective, that kind of thing. Does anyone have any recommendations for decks they feel give this to you?

I believe the new Tarot Pink is designed with this specific thing in mind, think its a preorder situation at the moment though. http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/tarot-pink-for-cancer/

From my collection I would say:

Shadowscapes Tarot http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/shadowscapes/
Chrysalis Tarot http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/chrysalis-tarot/
Joie De Vivre http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/joie-de-vivre/

all have a lovely, uplifting, healing energy.
Am tempted to say the Gendron as well http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/gendron/
but have a look and see how you respond to the images :) Am sure there are LOTS of beautiful oracles with this vibe too.

Funny that you would mention the Shadowscapes... the way it reads for me it's blunt- too much so at times- and very very serious. :D It's interesting how perspectives can vary.

I don't own it and it's, er, a bit different, but looking at the Happy Tarot gives me fuzzy feelings, so maybe that'd work for you too.

Thank you for your reply.

I'm so glad you suggest that Chrysalis deck as it's one I keep seeing online and looking at. I have Shadowscapes and it absolutely does have an uplifting feel to it but I hadn't thought of it as healing, I'll see if can bring this in next time I use them. I've had a look at the other you mention, and oh my goodness, the Gendron look gorgeous and soothing, in fact. I may see about buying those. The Chrysalis, too.

Ah, I hadn't seen your reply when posting just now. I think the Shadowscapes is a light deck but involved at the same time.

Yes, the Happy deck is definitely one to think of, the images are very fun.

I had an Amazon gift card given me and have used most of it buying a few oracle cards but have a little left over which I'm using for one (or more) of these suggestions. I can see I'll be adding some of my own cash to top up a few.

I could happily just look at the backs of the chrysalis and it would make me feel better! :) Be prepared it does definitely deviate from the traditional tarot archetypes/depictions/sometimes meanings. This doesn't bother me but I know some ppl find the combination of this and its gentleness annoying.

Oh just thought of another to add to the list... the beautiful Alice tarot: http://eu.baba-store.com/collections/alice-tarot/products/the-alice-tarot-standard-deck

I just love this deck, but being independent and having all that gorgeous metallic accenting, it is a lot more pricey.

Very uplifting and a real healing energy, makes you feel like you've been wrapped in a fluffy blanket and handed a huge mug of hot chocolate.

:) :) :)

I use Baroque Bohemian Cats when I'm sad. It makes me smile.

I can also recomend Osho Zen Tarot

Yes, the Chrysalis is a deck I have liked for a long while so it may fit the bill of what I'm after. The Alice cards are a bit pricey for me, but isn't the 9 of cups great? Poor little doormouse being pressed back into the teapot again.

Avalonian, your description of the Radiant Wisdom deck is fab. From the site - "created on the foundations of ancestral wisdoms from our many cultures" - that has got to be a caring, nurturing deck.

Thanks Vesna, those cats are cute, I can see why they make you smile.

I'm still loving the Gendron tarot deck...

Osho Zen Tarot? You think that fits my remit? I love that deck, only came across it recently and have been wistfully wanting it since. Ooh.
