Banded, striped or streaky might sound a bit odd. But apparently clashing contrasts of that kind always form a pattern if your able to step back and see the bigger picture.

Nice. I saw under 16. . .

and
TVA to be miry, dirty; to twine or bind together; to fast.

But couldn't make much sense out of them until your thoughts.
