IMHO, your best insurance is never to explicitly 'tell' your clients what to do - and I'm sure we are all savvy enough not to take that approach. Before starting a reading, I say to clients that I can only offer suggestions according to what the cards show, and that ultimately they are free to accept or reject any of it. I don't bother putting it on paper for them to sign, but some readers may feel better for doing this.
If they slip on your entrance path, fall into your bubbling cauldron or the chair they're sitting on collapses, that might be another matter!
