"And in the cry of millions; "Master!"
looms the echo of disaster."

Is that the one about the complacent sheep

Double post

Sorry again folks. Maybe I should just put this
phone away before I hurt myself.

Is that the one about the complacent sheep
being led to slaughter?

 In a way I suppose it is that 'one' But in this case a new ' shepherd '
arises .

Its from Crowley's Rite of Sol.

" Mortals never learn from stories
How catastrophé becomes;
How above the victor's glories
In the trumpets and the drums
And the cry of millions "Master!"
Looms the shadow of disaster.
Every hour a man hath said:
"That at least is scotched and dead."
Some one circumstance; "At last
That, and it effects, are past."
Some one terror--subtle foe!
"I have laid that spectre low."
They know not, learn not, cannot calculate
How subtly Fate
Weaves its fine mesh, perceiving how to wait;
Or how accumulate
The trifles that shall make it master yet
Of the strong soul that bade itself forget."

Thankyou. If not Crowley I was going to guess
Hitler, Stalin, or Mao talking about themselves.

He did have something else. I remember something
like "are you not cared for?" Or "well cared for"
Something that alluded to a tyrant fattening up the sheep.

Crowley was brillant but I would not worship him or
anyone. That would defeat "Sovereignty of the Will." :)

Would not then all worship imply the same? Or you do you make a distinction between anyone and anything (or anyone, i.e. deity or anyone human)? And if so; invalidate one of the basic 'validated' branches of Thelemic magick i.e. 'Bhakti' ( Ref. 'Postcards to probationers'. )

Just curious :)

Admittedly considered the most risky branch (re Liber Astarte) but certainly not automatically invalidating the "Sovereignty of the Will." (Although the 'danger' seems to lie in that area). Is that what you mean?

If it is a 'risky' or dangerous' path I don’t see how that alone invalidates its usage in a system (particularly) like Thelema.

Thankyou. If not Crowley I was going to guess
Hitler, Stalin, or Mao talking about themselves.

Crowley 'talking about' Sol's energy in the Rite - positive and negative aspects ;)

If by all you mean other people I would say no.
If they wish to worship someone or something
then isn't that their Will? In any case the Will of
of others I don't see as being any of my business.

I meant all worship , not all people. If one felt that way about worship and one was into Crowley (and using his system) then what about the magical path of worship as an ends to a means (re. Liber Astarte)?

My question isnt about all people worshiping and if its their will or anyone's buisness. It is a technical magical question about worship and .... adoration, I suppose, as one of the paths of magick.
