I'm actually concerned about the new images, unless he's redesigned all of them. One of the things I loved about this deck was the consistency of the artwork. When some cards are reworked, they often break the sense of continuity of a deck. __________________ Karen and her hounds creating art ~ creating a new life |

This £50 price tag is really out of my range, too, but I fell in love with the look of the deck as soon as Nij posted the first images 'way back, and I feel kind of committed to it, it's been part of my mental landscape for so long ("one day the Tyldwick will come and then I shan't need any more new decks after that") that I can't really pass on it. |

I do love the look of the deck, but the more I see the images the less likely it is I think I could actually READ with the deck. While the cards are very atmospheric and evocative I'm having a hard time telling which card is which. Even on the website when I look at the cards I have to look at the title of the card to know what it is I'm looking at or how the items in the image relate. How does a sideboard relate to Justice? ... I see the image of Justice in the picture above it, but nothing else really is clicking in the picture. Again artistically it's very beautiful...anyone else having this issue ? __________________ One sip of this would turn Mary Poppins into Medea |

yes, it seems the more I look at it to be more art then tarot. Very very beautiful and an interesting art project for sure, nice to have in your collection if you can afford it, but I doubt I could even see it well enough to read with it. __________________ To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. I don't want to judge this deck without seeing all the cards, but the images I have seen appear very much the same from card to card and not very reminicent of the meanings I attach to the tarot. These two issues alone might make it difficult to read with this deck. I'd buy it just for the unique artwork; and I do agree with others here that the cards have a strong "atmospheric" effect. |
