Same thing here, and I was a little put off by it. I don't need perfection but they were kind of choppy to me. And one of my cards was chipped on the backing edge too.
I do love the artwork, and I think the book is great! I really enjoyed reading it and learning some very interesting history of the Byzantine era. I bought this deck when I saw the Fortitude card because it depicts my favorite story from the old testament. Fortitude is the right word!
