Back in one of the threads I noticed a reference to martial arts (something about external/internal authority and tradition) and it reminded me of the above thread title. Being both a Tarot reader and martial arts practioner for many years the connections seemed natural to me, especially since I work with weapons in both systems.
There are obvious ones (staff, sword, shield). However, most people seemed to think it a 'little' far out.
Surely if the elemental suits in the Tarot offer lessons in understanding, developing and utalising the 4 parts of the psyche (will / intuition, emotions / feelings, thought / reasonings and body / actions) the same can transfer to the 'mundane' interpretations of the weapons (e.g see titles on minor wands) for a martial artist? Any thoughts?
