LoScarabeo Cat deck for 2016-ish

reall

l did say in my earlier post that cats with human faces gave me the creeps. Now that l have seen the Monroe cat l will have to definitely avoid this
deck

:)) actually it would be much easier and less time consuming to paint humans?:)) and if you look at the background and all details you can tell artist don't go for easy way!^^

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.714184505361486.1073741826.254247308021877&type=3 artist is Diana Cammarano http://dianacammarano.blogspot.ba/ https://www.artstation.com/artist/dianacammarano
and with *normal people it would probable resamble to fairy tale tarot?:)) but glue/theme would be lost?:))
even I prefer my animals cartoon(blame Disney to that!^^:)) or serious realistic animals!^^ as I can't see this as ordinary cats?:) but more some chimera aliens?x,x :))
but without that it would probably lose its charm?:)) wouldn't be interesting enough?:)) so in conclusion this is fantastic art deck!:) and successor of Baroque Bohemian Cats!^^;))

Edit just to say acording to official fb page theme is legendary heroes in cat form!^^ including Astérix, Zorro to Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter, Cléopâtre ou Marilyn Monroe!^^ lolz it's on my wish list now! facepalm :))

p.s It would be a waiste not to use that iconic white dress/scene!^^;))

They look to me like furry people...the furry Monroe it's definitely not appealing to me...nor as a cat neither as a human...

Having only seen the few images here its hard to know if l like it or not. l do like my cats to be cats as in Pagan Tarot. Can just about take Baroque Bohemian Cats dressed like humans but cats with nearly human faces and all dressed up is a bridge to far, it gives me the creeps.
Probably l'm in the minority here, its a clever take though and will no doubt appeal to others.

I don't think I like it either. I like cats to look like cats not furry humans and after just viewing some of the other cards, I know that I'd never be buying it.

It's not just the cat element - I like my animal decks to feature just plain animals, not being manipulated into human features or poses, or with animal heads and human bodies.

I'm kind of up in the air about this. Ordinarily I want cats to look like cats, yes. But these images remind me of comics like Omaha the Cat Dancer, anthropomorphic and realistic at the same time. I think it's the human eyes and human stances on otherwise feline forms. Alien, yes, probably. But intriguing none the less. If I get it it will be just for the art; though it might read well, who knows?

But yes, that Robin Hood is very much Errol Flynn, even down to the curl of hair. :)

Omaha reminds me of an earlier post about "furries"; yes, Furry Fandom is, or was, a big thing.

If I look at these images as humanoid-felinoids, instead of actual cats, it works for me. I guess it's due to all these years in science fiction fandom. (My first con was in 1980.) And then again, I grew up on funny-animal comics; Carl Barks is my hero. :D

YESSSSS more cat decks! This one looks pretty nice!

Not your average cat deck....i want it.

I'm not liking the 'almost human' faces either. Eww.

I'd prefer them more cat-like, if not full feline. So it's a no go for me too. Too creepy.

Quester

I want this deck!!

Along with the Tarot of Pagan Cats, this feels very cozy and appropriate to my kitty gusto.

On wishlist, make sure to keep one for me when you publish it :D

Perhaps a knight or page
Gengis Cat

I've long since let the few cat decks I've had go, but this art is so engaging..

I LOVE Alice in Catland and Genghis Cat. This deck looks very promising. This and the deck by Elisabeth Alba are so going to the top of my must buy list. Thanks for sharing this AJ :)
