Arcus Arcanum - High Priestess

The High Priestess card in this deck is one of the more pretty ones I've seen, considering
this deck is talked about as a 'masculine' deck. I don't really agree with that category so far.
I think the deck has stronger images so people assume that with it being more masculine.

The colors are soothing, calming, this is some place that you would like to be.
There's the waterfall in the back again. Water representing life and cleansing.
Some mystical connection in the fact that we can be physically cleansed
and spiritually cleansed by water.
There's incense at her feet in a very decorative container. She holds a scroll,
assuming it holds secrets. She has her eyes closed and seems to be holding
her left hand towards the incense. She appears either deep in thought or
maybe meditating.
She's in an open air space with lots of stone, seems like someplace special
for mediating or deep thought or connecting with the spirit world
There isn't anyone else around so it's appears to be private too.
She's associated with mediums, psychic ability and intuition.

The veil curtain behind her has the design of fish on it. The bench she sits on and the incence burner all have cresent triple moon motiffs on them to maybe signify the female Godess. Human faces are shown on the side of the incense burner along with the face of a bull.

Some believe that when The Fool enters her veil curtain that this is him entering the spiritual journey of the Tarot world.

There's foliage in the rocks beside the waterfall; it seems the knowledge she seeks and offers is nourishing, not sterile. It also adds a bit of earth to a card that is overwhelmingly water and moon. (Contrasting this card with the High Priest later will be fun--they're opposites in almost all details!)
