Amazon Basket... Tarot For Yourself?

AbrasaxVeritas

Ok, here's what's my cart (I'd like to place an order this week):

Tarot For Yourself - Mary K. Greer

Complete Guide to Tarot - Eden Gray

Cassandra Eason's Complete Book of Tarot: Everything You Need to Know Including Spreads, Card Analysis and Divination

Tarot Spreads: Layouts & Techniques to Empower Your Readings - Barbara Moore;

Book of Tokens-Tarot Meditations - Paul F. Case

The Forest of Souls: A Walk Through the Tarot - Rachel Pollack

I only want to get two books in this order... any suggestions on which two to get or if there is a book that you might recommend over those that I've listed?

I have just read PFC's The Tarot, which I enjoyed and found to be useful. I am a beginner at working with The Tarot.

Any guidance you might be able to provide would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

Welcome to Aeclectic, AbrasaxVeritas!

I agree with amethyst57 that you can't go wrong with any of Mary Greer's books.

What is your focus though? Meanings and interpretations? Symbolism? Spreads? Meditation? You've listed a wide variety of books, so it's almost like comparing apples to doughnuts.

Well, I suppose I should just begin with meanings, interpretation and symbolism, and then once I am more confident with that I can move onto things like spreads and meditation.

It seems like Tarot For Yourself is a definite for this order. :)

I'd probably go with Eden Gray as the second book then.
