Margarete Petersen Study -Son of Feathers - the power of dragon's blood

Diana

But it doesn't fit in with the text that you translated.

firemaiden

My mother gave me a sharp sword to slice through unholy snares.
My father gave me a compass and taught me about the east-, south, west-, and north winds.
My sister gave me courage for the leap into the unknown.

Yes it does. :p

Diana

Yes, but then who is the Old Warrior who died drinking by the spring?

firemaiden

That's Siegfried. :D :D :D

It doesn't all have to fit, Diana. It's a mosaic, a patchwork, a collage. There are myriad references all being stirred together in a beautiful soup. A sort of potage. Maybe it is a goulasch. (I just figured it out, you don't add water, only wine, so all the juice comes from the meat and the vegetables).

Or maybe it is like the alchemists elixir of life. You stir and stir... and keep getting different colours, it all adds up. And in the end it turns into dragon's blood... we can drink it, and understand the language of the birds.

:D :D :D

Diana

Oh... this sounds very Chaotic indeed. :)

Diana

I went to check up on St. George and the Dragon.

Did you know that his legend is based on the myth of Andromeda? Here is a real Dragon slayer....
