Secrets of the Lenormand Study Group -professions- case studies 5 & 6

Sylvie Steinbach

These case studies will help you understand the meanings of the cards in the search of finding out the professional occupation of your subject.

Use the book to help you...

The key card for employment is 14-fox (vs business represented by fish)
Focus on the card and your question -what kind of job he or she is going to have? for example-.
Pick your cards and look for the fox. When you suggest your answers give me the breakdown on how you got that story.

Case study 5

Identify the profession based on this result:

15-bear + 32-moon + 14-fox + 4-house + 20-garden

Ps: multiple correct answers possible.

Case study 6

Same inquiry.

18-dog + 5-tree + 14-fox + 19-tower + 20-garden

Do not be shy...I can help you improve your understanding of the deck quickly if you speak out.

Good luck to all...

Okay - Case #5:

Identify the profession based on this result:

15-bear + 32-moon + 14-fox + 4-house + 20-garden
------------------------------------------------------

My intuition tells me that he is a trusted family member who is robbing them. He is a socialite (sp) and eveyone knows him. Yet, perhaps under cover of night, he is stealing the wealthy blind. He is big, bullish, and probably has "men" under him who do the dirty work. He is the leader. And no one messes with him.

------
I'll be back in a minute after I fully get what your book is saying about moon - being more emotive and feminine. Perhaps your person is a woman? The same would apply there too. But I still get "home robber" from the layout. Leading them down the garden path to no good end.

:)

==============

Yep! I get that the bear is a casino owner, or along that line, that is robbing the "family" dry. Big financial matters - big cash flow. (casino still comes to mind). House and garden - estate and restaurant. Yep - this guy is a big hairy muscle-man gigolo who has everyone fooled!!

There. How's that?? :D

ah ah I see we have a sense of humour! Ok let's work on this one together.

Case 5

15-bear + 32-moon + 14-fox + 4-house + 20-garden

To start we only use these cards to define the profession not to describe someone's specific physical attributes or other details. Let me explain: what if these cards were the answer to the question 'what kind of job am I going to get into by next year?'.

Always start from the key card which in this case if the fox (job). Then look first on the left of the card we have bear and moon... Bear is management, finances, physical activities, food and protection. Moon is emotions but also creativity and artistic abilities. So far do not jump on conclusion yet!
Now let's look on the right with house and garden. The typical association usually refers to a place where customers or clients come.

Ok so we have someone who may be able to manage in a creative way a place where people -clients come to receive or get something.
There are multiple possibilities here such as the person may manage a gym that will fall into the principle of people coming into a place...but what about the moon?
OR we can say this person may be creating something that people come to buy or experience...hummm such as a restaurant. Or a bar in that matter...

Think about it and see if you can come up with possible other professions. I hope this will help break the code on example Case 6.

Is this helping Skydancer? :)

Still on case 5 : For some reason, putting the meanings from the book together with some hunches, I saw a different kind of profession. In fact, I saw a "change" in profession. The person may have started working with high risk businesses such as a stock market broker or market consultant because the bear deals with cash flow, it´s a big animal, and gives a sense of power in business. On the side, the expression "bear market" came to mind. Also, the moon relates to financial instability and in the stock market, many serious bids happen overnight (moon). This person may have had it with the pressure and could have changed to a more "peaceful" business probably relating to real estate selling. House + Garden brought images of those realtors who sell mansions to very wealthy people. People who are famous for having "crowds" around the house and being party hosts and hostesses.

Did I trip?

~~ Ana - for what it's worth ~~ ;)

I like your take on Case 5 -- Bear Market. Clever!! And selling homes to the rich and famous - I had thought along those lines too. Sure looks like our guy is getting his share of the pie. :D

Financial advisers needs to have the bear + dog combination. Any changes in professions must display cards that show changes such as the coffin, the stocks or others... The mistake you are making is to create a story and seperate the left and the right. You must intergrate both sides as there is no card anywhere to seperate the sides. The key card does not seperate. Also stick on just professions...The spread is not about a change it is about all professional activities that will fall under the entire set of these 5 cards. I hope I explained myself OK here...
Keep going.... So find out what someone's job is under bear + moon + fox + house + garden as a group combination.

O.K. I got the idea. Could it be a catering service that not only provides food but also flower arrangements and entertainment? Something related to organizing big party events. (bear) high position/ working with food - (moon) creativity - house (a family owned business with many family members participating) - garden (festivities and crowds).

I´m sorry for letting intuition misguide me. Can you tell me if the reading from left to right or right to left makes any difference? That is, is combining the bear + moon any different from combining the moon + bear?

Actually it could be full service catering but to ensure this is the right insight you will have to double check the info.

Now you did bring up some important questions:

"Can you tell me if the reading from left to right or right to left makes any difference?"

We always start from the key card, right? then we look into the left up to 2/3 cards and then into the right (2/3 cards). Depending on our originial inquiry the left refers to the recent past or current thoughts/history and the right the intentions, the next steps, the near future...

" That is, is combining the bear + moon any different from combining the moon + bear?"

Most of the time there is going to be a difference such as coffin + horseman could mean new beginning, a fresh start VS horseman + coffin will mean a much more traumatic change, an ending or some difficult news.
So yes you do read them as you read a book from left to right...

Some meanings the difference is very subtile such as bear + heart relates to generosity but more material and financial VS heart + bear connects with the generous lover, the feelings of love and compassion...

Can you see what I mean?

Same inquiry - what profession

18-dog + 5-tree + 14-fox + 19-tower + 20-garden
----------------------------------------------------

doctor, nurse, psychologists, soulmates
professional association, union, lobbyist

soulmate doesn't apply here so -- I'm going to say a medical professional who would be part of that type professional associaton, and he may be lobbying for better things, being actively involved in social change. Medical change.

How would that be??

Case #5 - profession

15-bear + 32-moon + 14-fox + 4-house + 20-garden

Okay -
financial instability, creative cash flow, royalties
large estate, theater, restaurant, large family

So for profession I'd go with theater - and royalties from others performing his work. It's always a gamble, theater, hence financial instability - and then creative cash flow. It could be restaurant also --- but I think I would go with theater unless client gave more information.
Large family could also indicate all the producers and artists, and actors, etc. that would be involved - actually with theater OR restaurant!!

How's that??
