Four Directions Spread

Moonchild1721

I have the "Lakota Sweat Lodge" cards, and there is a spread used in that book called the four directions spread. I used it for a tarot card reading, and it worked really well for me. Does anyone else use this spread?

1. Direction: West, This is an aspect of the issue at hand that you should meditate on.

2.Direction: North, This card indicates what will bring about renewal.

3. Direction: East, This card indicates what you need to understand, or gain clarity on.

4. Direction: South, The message of this card will help you to bring about growth involving the issue at hand.

Does anyone have any insight on this spread? It seemed to me that the descriptions of the spreads in the Lakota Sweat Lodge book were geared towards interpreting the Lakota cards. I just want to make sure I'm relating them to the Tarot correctly.
