Also, there is the Gardner Museum Robbery of 1990, where 2 thieves stole 15 works of art. Internet says there is still a $5Million reward for any information on that one. If you solve it and get $5M, I expect a finder's fee.

So... not really "missing persons" but more like, "Where are the killer(s)/culprit(s)/item(s)?"

That would be awesome! But I want to stay consistent with the missing persons theme here (even if they are very old cases), so if you want to open a thread on those unsolved mystery cases, I will be more than happy and excited to jump in there and read with you! I love that stuff. And the movie ZODIAC is one of my fave films of all time. I'd love to delve into that case first if u'd like.

Doing readings for missing persons is one of my favorite things to do with my tarot. I've written on a different thread (but I can't find it) about a couple of readings I did about Patrick Carnes, who has been missing from northern Nevada for a couple of years now.

Yesterday I did a reading about a local man who went missing. All I had was the newspaper article about this man who told his family he was going to the mall on black Friday to buy a set of screwdrivers. They watched the surveillance video from the store and never saw him in it, so it looked like he never got there. He has since contacted the sheriff's office to let them know he is okay, but no other details have been released. I did my reading before it was known that he was safe.

I'm pressed for time right now so I won't write the whole detailed reading (I do have it documented in my tarot journal), but this is the gist of what I came up with. The cards indicated that he was still alive, and that he had disappeared voluntarily. At first I thought maybe he'd just gone off on a wild hair to gamble in Nevada but as I pulled more cards it became more clear that there is either an ongoing family situation or he just learned of something that happened that upset him. It seems he went away to think about this situation and didn't want to be found right away. All indications were that he would go back to his family, he just needed some time to sort things out in his own mind.

So I got part of it right - he was still alive. Now, I may never know why he disappeared, although the latest news article said the police are still investigating. I do feel strongly that he just needed some time to think about something that happened, or perhaps to make a decision, or just to digest the news. No real indication of what the situation was/is. I guess I could do another reading for some clarification on that.

awesome, Saker. if you ever find the reading, post it so we can check it out. i've totally forgotten about this thread ever since isabel celis' story died down. i was hoping her case would be solved quickly and then i'd move on to the next case, but then i just forgot. thanks for bumping this thread again. i must do some work on it soon and "open" another case.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm fascinated by missing persons cases and, like I said, have done several readings on different cases. There is another local man who's been missing for almost 10 years, and I've done several tarot spreads on him. What's been fun about that is that my husband and I have followed up on clues from the readings and gone out looking for matching associations in a particular area. There were references in the cards to religion or something religious, jewelry or jewels, and the color blue. We also got a general idea of the area, which is where we started looking for these things. The "religious" association was a cross at a turnoff from the highway onto Pearl Road (jewels?). Also, there is a well-known local preacher whose property is at this turnoff. Pearl Road goes into Gem County, and one of the more prominent "hills" is called Crown Point. We have seen all sorts of weird blue things, from beer cans to pieces of cloth tied on a fence, down to a flock of mountain bluebirds. Our feeling is that this man was murdered (he had ties to some local strip clubs and was known to deal in guns and women) and left in one of the mines in this area. The mine that we believe he is on private property and the owner is a rather crotchety old man. We have no real evidence, so we really can't call the police. The cards indicated that the police have a good idea of who is responsible for the disappearance, they just haven't been able to find the body or to get anyone to talk. I haven't done any readings on the case for a few months; it might be interesting to see if the police are onto anything new.

Hi, above is a brief video on a case that still haunts many greater Clevelanders 23 years after the fact. I have an Aunt who lives within walking distance of where this girl was abducted.

Please feel free to PM me if you need any details you cannot find on your own. This kidnapping was the end of innocence for myself and many children my age.

thanks, mellow. maybe i will use this one as my next case to read on. i'm watching the video now but listening to it half-heartedly, because i really don't want to rely too much on what's in the media because i'm afraid it may sway my reading on a subconscious level.
