Hi, I'm new here
Hello, everyone, I'm Helen from Sedona, Arizona, in the US. I'm just starting to learn Tarot, and am fascinated by the links between Tarot, Jungian archetypes, and astrology. To be honest, I'm unsure about Tarot's predictive value -- I'm going to be open-minded on that one for a while longer. At this beginning point of my journey, I'm especially interested in how Tarot can reveal and clarify my thoughts and feelings, and see it as a wonderful tool for accessing the subconscious mind. My learning path right now is to spend time with each card, journaling my impressions, and then do some reading to see how those who are more experienced interpret that particular card. It is a fun and rewarding way to learn to trust my own intuition and insights and at the same time learn from others who have walked this path before me. I thank you for allowing me to join you, and look forward to getting acquainted with many of you. Peace to you all. |

Hello Helen, that's my (middle) name also. Welcome to AT. You will find a lot of others interested in Tarot as a Psychological, rather than predictive, tool here. I have a couple of books along that line on my summer reading list including "Messages From the Archetypes". I can't imagine discovering these books in any setting other than AT, especially for folks like myself who live far away from lively centers of intellectual, and esoteric, discussion. |
