When I came to this card in my Gaian deck, it startled me. It was like looking in a mirror. I look just about identical to the woman on the card. I don't have big muscular arms and hands, but looking at the woman's face, it's like looking at myself. As a Sagittarian, I'm also a fire sign.
The Elder of Fire in the Gaian deck is a healer among other things, and so am I. I know a lot of old-time herbal and other medicinal things that I learned from my grandmother. Incidentally, my grandmother and I look amazingly alike, so I see her in this card, too. She passed away in 1982 or '83, but she lives on in my heart forever.
The book says this Elder is as likely to "use a pen, paintbrush, or a spoon and old crockpot" to concoct her healing remedies, and that's how it is for me a lot of the time.
