Advice for a novice Tarot reader?

I will try journaling and I will try looking at the cards and see what my intuition tells me.

I will also try Dusty White's book and see if it helps.

WhenI started, I used mostly large spreads. I just always had the LWB or another comparable resource for the meanings with me.

I think positional readings and specific questions can help you to see the card's meanings against a specific background, because you're forced to ask yourself questions like "what the hell does the Knight of Pentacles do here?!" [emoji6] Try to experiment with different types of questions and spreads. If you run out of questions, make up an illusionary sitter.

Also try to do the readings aloud to yourself.
And most important, do what works for you and allow yourself to have fun!
