INVISIBLE TAROT by Enrique Enriquez

Does anyone know this book ? Like it ? Use it ? What's it about ? Intuitive Tarot reading ? cold reading ? None of the above ?
I am considering buying it but I'm on a seriously tight budget right now and it's not the cheapest e-book...

To me, that looks like 'the emperor's new clothes' book with no cards and no material! I am unsure what is convincing to people about it, since I see nothing of use there. What am I missing? Why couldn't you yourself just say "This person seems like a, oh, Queen of Pentacles, even though I don't have my cards with me, so that would make me think that..."? I'm clearly missing something here!

I'm guessing the elements of the image seen by the customer are translated by the reader into virtual tarot cards and the reading is done from those.

Thank you guys for the input. Has any of you actually read it ? Or handled it ? I ask because this book is highly appraised at a forum for MAGICIANS/ILLUSIONISTS. So, I thought, what the ... ? On the other hand, I know that Enrique is well-known and admired by many Tarotists so I am lost here...

I have not read it, but if I understand the description correctly, it sounds like the classic psychoanalytic method repackaged. The client describes imagery in his/her head (dreams), and the reader interprets this imagery for what it might say about the client's life.

Am I missing something?

I bought this years ago. It was part of his invisible series...Invisible Gemstone, Invisible Tarot, Invisible Readings. I have them all on a hard drive somewhere. They are not physical books, but ebooks.

They all use methods of having the sitter visualize something. The visualizations are compelling. The theme of this series is readings with no props other than two hearts/minds working together. They are well done approaches that involve the sitter emotionally.

Of the three, I still use the Invisible Gemstone sometimes. I used Invisible Tarot for a bit but prefer a physical pack of cards for tarot reading, though it should be mentioned that physical cards are introduced at a point in the Invisible Tarot approach.

One should not take recommendations from a magician/illusionist forum. They are mostly talkers there, getting excited about the new mentalism guru or hot book that will make them a great reader overnight. They are quite happy if they can use word tricks or other magic-tricky methods to get "hits". They are best left alone to their own happy little world. There are a few actual readers there but most are fantasy-prone puzzle junkies.

Enrique is a different sort. Though he does hang there rarely you can see his approach to readings by searching his name and looking at his work.

I think anyone here considering Enrique's work should look at his public writings before buying anything. He is a poet at heart and it shows in his work. If it is for you that is good.

Enrique has what reader's need...a good heart. If your heart is right and touches the sitter in a positive way you don't need anyone's method but your own.

Oh, my God, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You really shouldn't have gone through all the trouble of finding these threads but those will certainly be extremely useful to me !!! I feel quite dumb not suspecting that Enrique would be a member of AT as well.... I will go over each thread this weekend and try some exercises on my own. He does sound like a poet at heart because he thinks in a different wave length and that is so refreshing :) The only caveat to me is that he uses the Marseilles and I still cannot get over the rudimentary drawings. Not that I'm a perfecionist but some cards look like they were drawn by a 4 year old... I gave it a shot a the Eye-rhymes exercise still running and will see how it goes.
Thank you again, minotaur! Your help has been invaluable ! And, who knows, if in the future our currency recovers from the crisis we're in, I might buy one of his e-books ;)

Thanks for all this material--I am glad that someone knows enough about it that I am not just stuck being puzzled if he is good or bad or tricking people or not--thanks again.
