While I agree with all of the above post, I especially wanted to quote the above.

The OP just asked about others personal relationships with their decks. Opinions are just that, opinions.

People do have relationships of a sort with otherwise inanimate objects and usually for a reason. In this case I am guessing that doing that can make for better readings if you are inclined that way. I rarely personalize anything, except my old teddy bear of course. :)

And ALL my cars have had names and personalities (I couldn't believe the day one refused to start when SO was going to work (no it wasn't flooded !), so he took the other one, and when I went to go out fifteen minutes later, the one that hadn't started started just like that - pretty much saying "I didn't WANT to go to Copper Cliff today, OK ?" It was priceless.)

But my decks - no. I think actually I take them too seriously to imbue them with anything. They need to do their own thing, as you might say.
