Jack Parson - sex magic occultist on H2

I just watch a program on H2 channel "How sex changed the world", about Jack Parson, a rocket scientist. This program also featured AC and sex magic. 2013 " sex gone wrong".

Has anyone seen this, if not watch for this program.

No I havent seen it but I would like to ... Jack is an interesting Character ... he invented / developed solid rocket fuel ; after watching guys pour bitumen on the road he got this crazy idea ... which lead to some radical experiments that didnt always go right ... he eventually cracked it though ... until he blew his face off when dropping fulminate of mercury in his garage (apparently he had high explosives stored in the most unusual places). He was an OTO Lodge Master for a time until (i think) Crowley sacked him ... I like Jack, but really, magically he was an immature romantic and juvinile in his approach ... the main crime was being silly enough (NOT a quality required of a Lodge Master) to be sucked in by L.Ron Hubbard ( pre Scientology days) who took off with Jack's wife, the boat and some $$$$ and possibly some OTO documents (which later found spurious usage by him).

For some reason Its very appealing to me ... the images of that era ... all living in a mansion ... practicing magick, fencing on the front lawn with L.Ron ... running boat deals up and down the coast ... mad explosions going off here and there and failed rockets crashing to the ground in 'unofficial experiments' ... then off to work at JPL ... then back home to the art deco mansion and play a few more explosive 'practical jokes' on his friends and workmates ... those were the days !

Oh ... must be past 5 Jack's home from work.

I had a friend the same ... practical joke explosions ... he used to flog stuff from work (from the special effects / armoury dept ) ... since the uprise of terrorism that 'fun' is ended.

Once his wife had a dinner party ... he excused himself and (I thought) went to the bathroom. 10 mins later this giant echoing explosion goes off in the underground carpark in the complex behind the house.

His wife yells " ... (name) ...! I told you NOT to do that!

Him <feigning innocence> "What ? ! ? "

Jack would have enjoyed a dinner like that.

I have a dream!

... of one day seeing a documentary about AC and Thelema not in the context of deviant sex, but rather concentrating on progressive social issues that they espouse. Isn't the sex angle overdone?
