You're right...I completely passed over all of the specifics and went straight to the endings to look at directions...it seems that it is well hidden (or possibly stolen as mentioned above) and may never be found! Well, I'll search in those directions anyway...since it IS close by and I'll let you know the results...if you're interested! As always, thanks so much! |

I didn't want you all to think I wasn't going to follow up...with the weather not being cooperative and it being baseball season (my husband is a little league director AND a coach) my time has literally been cut in half to where I have not yet had time to get to this project. As soon as I DO get to this...I will be posting my results. I just didn't want you to think that I asked for help and then did not follow through or up! Thanks again so much! |

Sorry to hear about this, when someone is gone it is comforting to have something of theirs. I hope you are able to find it. It is very true that in violent accidents jewelry and other items can be lost. I was in a pretty bad accident and had my stethoscope around my neck and clipped onto my top, I was on my way to the hospital for clinical when i was in nursing school - I was hit head on by a drunk driver at 6:30 am....the driver side window was shattered, and one of the firemen who helped to cut me out of the car found my stethoscope somewhere at the accident scene - he was trying to give it to the EMT, and I said from the stretcher, Hey, that's mine!! So I could see where a delicate thing like a gold chain could come off, especially if the accident was really bad - mine was only moderately bad, I was very lucky to have seen it coming and was able to swerve to the right and avoid a hit that might have been a lot worse. The other option, that someone took it, is also a possibility - that can and does happen. But I would bet that it came off during the accident. Was the car checked afterwards? |

Wow...I don't know if I'd say your experience was only moderately bad...um...that's VERY traumatic! Thank you for sharing this. My cousin does feel that it may be possible that the cross was stolen at the hospital...but not for sure, of course. The car was not checked...as he was on a four wheeler...drinking and driving...drove himself off into a ditch.... ETA: This angers me very much...the drinking and driving....
