Tarot de Marseille Denier Patterns

Fulgour

Just for an imaginative look, here are "patterns"
for the TdM Deniers. I used an 11-based layout
to try to best capture the basic overall designs.

Wow! What is said and what is not said. Three columns, five rows. My mind is racing. Reminds me of hopscotch. Thank you.

Absolutely superb, Fulgour!!!

If one also reflects on the very form of the template pattern presented, its relation and connection to Kircher version of the Tree of Life becomes even more evident... with Da'at falling to its Malkut location (even though of course Da'at is more properly related to Keter).

The 'trick' is to here see the location of each Sefirah as positions or vortices between each coin from the template:

Malkuth is related to Daath kabbalah in the concept of the sacred marriage of the son and daughter, in which Malkuth is said to be 'raised' to become the crown of the son at Daath.

VII de Denier has a special quality to it, almost
against the grain ~ is it 5 over 2, or 4 under 3?
And really, there were other ways to do it too.

A typical TdM VII de Denier ~ and it's not upside-down...

(I had to alter the pattern grid to get the right feel here.)

VII de Denier could be viewed as
3 within 4
Spirit housed in Matter

I find some of the patterning in some of the cards to be unusual, for example the 6. To me it would surely be more natural to put the coins in two straight lines of 3 (much like the 8). So why this pattern?

It seems to me that alot of thought was put into the foliage of this suit and not just the coin patterns, which direction it should take, like the foliage gives the meaning. For sixes, my immediate thought it choices and decisions, so the here we have the directional cross in the middle and also the foliage saying: "this one, or this one?"(top and bottom coins). Something similar could have been done with two columns but it would not have picked out two individuals coins perhaps.
