Promises, promises .......

Hey, enjoy the Golden - it IS a beauty. And it reads well, too.

SongDeva - ROFL! Don't tell people about the vicious Drop Bears (koalas) - you'll scare off the tourists and we'll have to go back to eating red dirt without those tourist $'s.

Contra - Eep.. sorry! Sent it airmail, and all others were received so perhaps it's gone astray in the post. Will PM you with a list of other cards to choose from :)

Heheheheheh. Should start my own page on the critters, will see if I can get some actual photos....

Well, hey, some people believed me about the black swans in my Chariot (that also appear in our state coat-of-arms and flag) being real.

Oops am I getting a bit off-topic? Naughty Kat!

hehe i love it here! I'm glad i found this forum! You guys are all so witty!

Kat, i'm already so excited about your new deck! I love Italian painters but i have a special love for Flemish art! I didn't know much about it until i had the luck to see some of it at the Louvre Museum in Paris a few years ago and it blew me away! The colors are so warm and full of life!

Golden Tarot is really growing on me Kat! I've just started studying the minor arcana and your deck is incredible! Your cards truly speak to my soul and make the reading so much easier than i expected! I was so worried about interpreting minor arcana (i'm sort of a newbie and so far i've concentrated my studies on major arcana) but your deck is so evocative and makes the interpretation very intuitive! wow! I love it! :)

This is me, still sitting here patiently awaiting my Golden - I now have my resolve face on - resolved to the fact that no amazon didn't get my order out before they sold out and yes I have to wait at least another 6 no wait 5 weeks to get my deck. And none of my other sources panned out.

I know there is a proverb about having to wait for something and when you actually get that something, its well worth the wait. i can't remember the actual wording.

I have many beautiful decks in my collection but I'm aching to get this deck. I'm just glad Kat has a website where the cards are on display.

In the mean time I'm enjoying reading all the postings on this deck and its artwork. :D

Now I'm off for a well earned Easter Break, should have been joined by my new Golden, but oh well lol

LOL - I'm always happy to listen to suggestions. That's why I hang out here!

I have to say though that much of Caravaggio's work, although amazing, kind of gives me the creeps. Some of it seems almost paedophilic. But he was an incredible technician. Hopefully I'll find some elements among his work that don't look too "come here, little boy..."

I would agree with what you say re. his works before 1596, but isn't his Magdalene http://gallery.euroweb.hu/support/viewer/z.html
the very picture of despondency?

Thank you for the lovely links. :)

I'm glad you incorporate images from different artistic eras. As I said, whatever deck(s) you create will definitely be at the top of my wishlist.

You quiet down! You think I want her to *know*??

I had a 20% off coupon for Borders, so I just bought my second copy. This one is for a friend of mine who isn't into tarot, but who loved the deck because of the art work.
