Le Veritable Tarot de Marseille (Kris Hadar)

FLizarraga

Kris Hadar's Le Veritable Tarot de Marseille is a deck that is either hard to find or on the costly side. I don't remember if there was ever an English edition, but there is a Spanish one that pops time and again on eBay, quite inexpensively. I bought one a while ago, and today, reminded by MoonGypsy's successful trade post (yay!) I went there and found it again.

Just wanted to share this for those who could be interested.

Thank you. That is a good deal. It's a deck I've had my eye on for awhile, but since I just got a Soprafino, I think my deck collection (and especially my historical deck selection) is going to have to stand pat for awhile. I just wanted to post in order to let you know how much I appreciate your sharing this information. Cheers!

Glad you liked it! I did buy another copy. My old one is all battered up, plus it suffers from a bad trimming and edging job... :)

There are several French copies available on Amazon but for triple the price of the one you listed, Flizzy.

I bought one off Amazon a couple days ago for $30 or thereabouts.

i really LOVE that deck; i have always found the colors so soothing and i love
the backs. i had been without one for the last couple of years, and had really started missing it of late; and as our dear Flizzy noted,
i very gratefully found one of the older French editions on the trade forum this past week.

The French edition (one of them anyway) can be had now at Amazon for about $30.

And I forgot to specify that this is all US, sorry. But I do not see a lot of copies being offered running a global search, anyway.

That one is the newer edition. i have heard it has different cardstock. i don't remember any other changes mentioned, as it was quite a while ago. i think it was here on AT, though...

The one shown here has the first edition box:

Amazon.ca and online shops in Quebec Canada also has various tarot and oracles in French. One of those shops is Archambault, another one is Le Valet d'Coeur, another one is Raffin.

Quebec Canada is the French haven of America, so you don't have to go that far to get french products in French. I've bought for Americans and Canadians french Tarot de Marseille easily found here, like this one. Americans don't seem to be aware that Canada has 2 official languages, English and French.

Found it:

Canadians speak French? Oh dear. I would have never guessed...

Thanks for the links. IMHO, the reason most non-Canadians don't know about these stores is because they have very little Internet presence. Well, except for Amazon.ca, of course --and Archambault I was aware of, but I'm sure many others aren't.

One way or the other, when you are googling a product that they have (or had) in stock, those stores only show up on the second or third screen, and then you have to ask a Canadian friend if they are kosher.
